LABO Center is offering every year a bunch of trainings, whether animated by our own expert coaches, or in collaboration with other artists and collectives, in different artistic disciplines like: Theater, Contemporary and Urban dance, Graffiti, Cinema, Painting, Music production, Robotics applied to art, Drums, etc.

Performing Arts

Beyond its training programs in theater and danceLive Room is deeply committed to producing and supporting contemporary performing arts. We foster artistic innovation by:

  • Producing original performances, blending various artistic disciplines.
  • Providing direct financial support to emerging and established artists.
  • Offering space, technical resources, and mentoring to regional companies and creative tandems.

Cinema

Live Room actively supports independent filmmaking through LABO Studios, producing short films, documentaries, and commercials. Our mission is to:

  • Produce original audiovisual works that explore social, cultural, and human rights themes.
  • Support young emerging directors by financing their projects and providing professional tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with NGOs and institutions to create impactful visual storytelling.

Our Key Productions: The Meaning (Short Film, 2021); No Limit (Short Documentary, 2022); The Call (Short Film, 2023); Ana Tefla (Awarness commercial, 2023); Crowds (Short Film, 2024); Among Devils (Short Documentary, 2024); 14 Kilo (Short Film, 2024); Virtual School (Social project for minor prison’s – 9 Video Capsules, 2024); Etc.

Music

LABO Studios is a creative hub that produces and supports musicians at local, regional, and international levels. Every year, we collaborate with artists from various genres, including Rap, Pop, Fusion, and World Music, through:

  • Music residencies, where artists refine their craft and collaborate.
  • Direct productions, providing professional studio facilities, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborations with Moroccan and African emerging talents, fostering cultural exchange.

Key Productions: Since 2021, LABO Studios has produced over 30 works for emerging Moroccan and African artists, including: 7ali (EP, 6 Singles – Nezar, Morocco); Mellit (World Music Single – Ranya Chaaibi, Morocco); Tears of Negritude (Single – Sarro Sarr, Senegal); Labtape Vol. 01 & 02 (Compilation Albums – Moroccan Rap/Pop Artists).

Asian club Tangier

JAPOREA

In 2021, Live Room launched JAPOREA, a dedicated club for Asian cultural activities, with a special focus on Japanese, Korean, and Chinese cultures. Over the years, JAPOREA has grown into one of the leading cultural initiatives in Morocco, offering a rich variety of activities that attract enthusiasts from all over the country: Cultural workshops (language, calligraphy, traditional arts); K-pop dance contests & J-pop music events; Cosplay & anime conventions; Screenings of Asian cinema classics & modern films; Tea ceremonies and culinary experiences; Collaborations with other communities.

GAME ROOM

In 2022, Live Room’s audiovisual lab launched the GAME ROOM CLUB, a dynamic space designed for console, VR, and arcade gamers, as well as fans of board games like chess, cards, and group strategy games. What GAME ROOM CLUB Offers: A safe and interactive space for young people to connect and engage. Opportunities to develop social and strategic skills through gaming. Game competitions and challenges that foster teamwork and healthy competition. A networking hub for gamers to share experiences, exchange strategies, and build friendships.

Choir Club

NWEETA

In 2024, Live Room launched the Choir Club, bringing together 20+ singers and musicians who rehearse weekly and perform at LABO and various cultural ceremonies. The Club aims to create a synergic musical group that translates and preserves our rich heritage and culture through music. The choir mainly explores and performs: Mediterranean melodies, Andalusi traditions and Berber musical heritage. By blending traditional and contemporary arrangements, the Choir Club celebrates cultural diversity and artistic expression, making each performance a journey through history and identity.

CINELAB

In 2023, Live Room launched CineLab Club, a space dedicated to cinema and audiovisual enthusiasts. This club serves as a platform for learning, discussion, and creative production. Key Activities: Movie screenings followed by interactive debate sessions with professionals; Masterclasses & workshops with industry professionals; Support for emerging filmmakers through mentorship and access to resources; Production of short films and documentaries to showcase local talent; Offering services to the cinema industry. CineLab produced two short films and one documentary; Currently working on new audiovisual projects to further enrich the local film scene.
