SOLIDARITY - VOLUNTEERING

Live Room is a community-driven initiative that empowers youth to actively contribute to the development of their communities through social and cultural volunteering.

In 2024, Live Room launched the Youth Solidarity Club, which has already made a significant impact in the region by mobilizing volunteers for charity and social initiatives aimed at supporting communities in need.

Over the past two years, we have also engaged in several key initiatives that foster cross-cultural learning and development. Some of the most notable include:

  • European Solidarity Corps & Erasmus+
In May 2024, Live Room was awarded the Quality Label as a supporting organization for the European Solidarity Corps program. We are now working toward obtaining the Q-Label for hosting roles and the Erasmus+ program in 2025, positioning Live Room as a key player in facilitating individual and group volunteering exchanges between Tangier and Europe. Additionally, we are developing new exchange projects with multiple European partners under the Erasmus+ program.

  • University of Burgos Partnership (Spain)
We have established a collaboration with the University of Burgos through their project “La Estación de Ciencia y Tecnología”. This partnership focuses on training of trainers and fostering exchanges between our teams to explore robotics applied to the arts. As part of this initiative, we launched an Art & Technology program at our LABO center, benefiting over 40 children annually with free training and production support for the next three years.

  • International Collaborations & Study Visits
Each year, Live Room welcomes visits from international cultural institutions, universities, and collegesseeking to learn from our unique model, which integrates youth engagement, art production, and social work. These visits often include artistic activities, guided tours of Tangier, charity initiatives, open conferences, and discussions on cultural, social, and scientific topics, further promoting youth exchange, community engagement, and knowledge sharing.

    Recent partners include:

    • Université de la Sorbonne (France)
    • Colegio Claret (Spain)
    • University of Ottawa (Canada)
    • Semester at Sea (International College Cruiser)
    • Jesuit Universities: Deusto (Bilbao), Loyola (Sevilla), and the Autonomous University of Madrid

Through these initiatives, Live Room continues to strengthen its role as a dynamic platform for youth empowerment, intercultural exchange, and community-driven impact.
