ART MEET TECHNOLOGY IN LABO

As part of the development of the Live Room Project, our association signed a partnership agreement this year with the University of Burgos via its creative maker space La Estación de Ciencía y Tecnología. This agreement will allow the two parties to exchange their knowledge and experience in the management and implementation of creative programs for young people and children and in particular for the Technology and coding workshops applied in Robotics, 3D printing, and Augmented Reality, but also art programs and creative events for young people.

According to this partnership, Live Room seeks to launch two new Art and Technology programs for children in Tangier. It also aims to equip its executive staff with the necessary knowledge to do so.

The team of La Estación de Ciencía y Tecnología visited Tangier from May 21 to 25 to give two workshops in Chemistry and microscopic composition for children from the Lerchundi Center and another Augmented Reality initiation workshop for young people of the Live Room. FYI, La Estación is a project based in Burgos that has transformed the city’s old train station into a huge maker space that aims to promote vocations related to science, technology, engineering, art, and math for people of all ages.

Also, seeking to forge new local relationships and explore other similar projects in the Tangier region, the teams from the Live Room, the Lerchundi Center, and the guests from Burgos went to the American School of Tangier to visit their newly built Maker space and discuss the possibility of a future partnership for knowledge transfer and support for the new LABO Art and Technology programs.
